As a valued member of our Business Legal Affairs Team, you will play a key role in providing world-class strategic commercial legal advice and support to our money transfer and payments business in the UK and Western Europe. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements in respect of new and existing products. You will provide expert, strategic, and creative legal advice to business leaders. As part of your role, you will research, analyze and monitor new and existing laws that are relevant to our business in the UK and Western Europe, in coordination with other legal colleagues, and you will help to manage outside counsel wisely. You will be part of a global but closely connected team of hard-working lawyers in an open, diverse, and friendly environment.
For you to be successful in this role, you need to be a qualified lawyer with around 4-6 years’ post-qualification experience in delivering strategic business legal support within the financial services industry. For this role, we need you to be fluent in French and English. You may have qualified and/or practiced in France or Belgium, or you may be UK / Irish qualified with fluent business French abilities. You will have gained your experience in a leading law firm, possibly in combination with a role in a corporate legal department. You will be customer-focused, collaborative, proactive, and innovative. You will have previous experience of working in a multinational environment in corporate and capital markets. Previous experience with agile working methodologies is also desirable.
