About the roleAs a Senior Finance Analyst you will make an impact by being responsible for the accounting / finance activities of the entities belonging to Cognizant’s interest in Eastern Europe. You will be a valued member of the Finance team and work collaboratively with local teams and internal / external stakeholdersIn this role, you will:Support the local Finance Managers as per belowBe responsible for activities related to monthly, quarterly closing and management reporting: prepare journals and BS reconciliations, review accrual calculations, analyze the bookings, provide comments for P&L and BS variance analysisSupport local compliance: prepare and submit local statistical reports (to government, National Bank), support the preparation of the financial statement and CIT return, support the auditsHave operational duties: investigate booking mismatches, initiate manual payments, working with different internal and external teams, service providers, etcWe believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2/3 days a week in our Cognizant office in Budapest. Requirements

What you need to have to be consideredBachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or CPA qualificationAt least 2 years work experience in accounting / financial environment (bookkeeping)Fluent in English (written and verbal)Experienced excel user (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc)Good team player but able to work independentlyOpen to learning new things, can-do attitudeCommitted to provide quality work and keep deadlinesControl mindset, attention to detailsThese will help you stand outExperience working in a multinational / SSC environmentKnowledge of IFRS / US-GAAP accounting practices and principlesTaxation expertise (VAT, CIT)Experience with Oracle (People Soft) / HyperionProfessional working in Polish or Czech languageWe're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways.
